Playtech’s revenues for the entire year of 2008 have totaled to $144.8 million – that is 70% up from the $85.3 million reported in 2007. The firm’s revenues for the final quarter of 2008 increased 52% (if to compare the reveues for the same period in 2007) and amounted to $40.9 million. The revenues for the third quarter amounted to $36.8 million which is 11% higher.
Playtech’s casino revenues come to $28.6 million (in comparison with $18.9 million for the final three months of 2007) and its poker revenues totaled to more than 11 million dollars ($7.7 million for the same period in 2007).
Playtech’s share of players’ income has also grown: the share coming from Asia-facing licencees has grown by 26%, while that of European licencees – by 11%.
Playtech’s success can be explained, on the one hand, by its entering the regulated Italian market which is expected to increase the company’s revenues in future and, on the other hand, implementation of a deal with William Hill that let the operator use its casino and poker products using Playtech’s software.
