Though the gamblig market is unregulated in South Africa, the market is flourishing and growing at a great pace. A lot of work has been done by the South African government I cooperationg with the National Gambling Board to create regulations blocking unregulated sites and allowing only licensed sites to advertise in the market.
The new legislation is said to come into effect very soon. The legislation has not only made its way through the government, but it has also been publicly published for comment.
The National Gambling Board has noted that roughly 10 licensees will be able to operate in the South African gambling market once the legislation is passed.
