German Gambling Legislation is Not Effective

The new legislation in Germany implemented at the beginning of 2009 and aimed at eliminating foreign online casino gambling and betting has been supported in all the states.

However, the recent study commissioned by the German Association of Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media shows that internet gambling habits in the country almost have not changed despite the controls on offshore and foreign internet gambling.

Blocking and banning certain types of online casino gambling seem not to be effective, as Germans are still gambling in the same style and places they did before the regulation came into effect. Yes, lottery in Germany is popular, but Germans are ready for something more modernized and sophisticated.
