Will Bodog Be Put out of Business?

After a year of patent dispute between Bodog and First Technology, Bodog seems to be losing it.

First, Bodog’s representatives failed to appear in the courts for the first court dispute. As a result, the company was issued a $48 million default judgement in the case. Later on, Bodog’s CEO, Calvin Ayre, refused to pay pay up the default judgement.

To recoup the payment, a Washington enforcement court authorized First Technology to seize the domain name of the online casino gambling site what took Bodog by surprise and cost them some money. Nevertheless, the move hasnot put the company out business.

Recently Bodog has filed an appeal in the Federal Curcuit Court of Appeals and it was denied. Now the company is in more than $50 million default fines.
