How to Gamble Online for Real Money
December 29th, 2007Author: Mark Newman
Not all online casinos allow US players to join in and play casino games, but even they (US players) using these pieces of advice will allow US and other gamblers to play for real money.
The question is how?
Make sure that Internet gambling is legal at your jurisdiction. Then, playing online casinos for real money will be very easy: You will need a depositing method (credit card or bank account) and you would have to download the casino software to your computer. As soon as the online casino is downloaded and installed - you should open an account, deposit and start playing. In case you don’t want to play the online casinos for real money - you could still play just for fun with the so-called “free online casino money.
Lots of pros recommend the Bodog Casino that offers 10% bonus on every deposit. Depositing and withdrawing are very smooth processes with Bodog and with hundreds of casino games, you will have a great time.
The Bodog Casino allows even the US players to play. There’s only one exception – Canada. But there is a way out: the Sun Palace Casino accepts players from all over the world without any restrictions.

Today, online gambling has progressed to stages hitherto unknown until a few years ago. It’s a fact that online gambling has entered every home that has an Internet connection. There is no home in the United States that does not know what online gambling is, and there are many homes today where at-least one member of the family actually plays the game. It is a know fact that women participate in online gambling far more than men do. It can be surmised that this is because that many women stay at home while their husbands work, and they go and play in the online casinos.

The legality of online gambling is in question. Looking at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_poker, I found that ” . . .the U. S. Department of Justice sent a letter to North Dakota attorney general Wayne Stenehjem stating that online gaming “may” be illegal, and that the pending legislation “might” violate the federal Wire Act. However, many legal experts dispute the DOJ’s claim . . .”
I am NOT a legal expert, but my online searches seem to indicate that the legality is a very gray area and the government is acting as though it is illegal. Until some high profile cases are tried in the courts, I think this will remain a gray topic.

I’m still shocked it is illegal in the USA. Is there any news of this changing back or is it looking like a permanent law?

Rules for internet gambling vary between countries, just make sure it is ok in your country before getting into it.
