Will Tahiti Become More Popular with Tourists?

Can Tahiti be a more attractive holiday destination? The results of a Gallop poll say ‘yes’. The survey shows that 85.8% of tourists think casinos built on Tahiti’s islands might make the holiday much more entertaining. As for 14.2% of the surveyed, they are sure that casinos would not attract them.

The favorite entertainment at casinos for 61% polled were table games like roulette, poker and blackjack. 39% gave the preferences to slot machines.

The poll shows that 45% would like to stay at a hotel resort, while 26% would prefer a small guesthouse. Cruise trips are preferred by 28% polled.

In April, French Polynesia Tourism Minister Maina Sage publicly said that she would support the opening “well-structured” casinos in Tahiti. If it happens, it’ll support the economy of Polynesia by providing jobs and making Tahiti an attractive holiday destination for thousands of tourists.
