The Indians Win During the Asia Cup Pole

August 14th, 2007
Author: Mark Newman

An Indian team defeated an English team during the Asia Cup Pole sponsored by online casino MaharajahClub.com. The polo match took place on the 30th of June at Kirtlington Park Polo Club in Oxfordshire.
Ajit Medtia, Raghav Raj Singh, Satnam Dhillon and Colin Dhillon were the members of the Indian team. The English team consisted of Ed Magor, Eden Ormerod, Ashley Rake and Ryan Pemble. The latter ones scored 5 points, but later, when the final horn sounded, they lost out as the Indians scored five and a half points.
In spite of the fact that the English team is young, their game was rather impressive.
The polo match is a “part of a series of events celebrating the very best in Asian culture and lifestyle in Britain and was followed by the Maharajah Ball”. Lots of celebrities were present there such as India’s Cricketer of the Century, Kapil Dev, cricketers Ian Salisbury and James Benning, Chief Executive of the Hurlingham Polo Association, David Woodd, television and radio presenter Nikki Bedi and actors Raj Ghatak and Syed Ahmed.
