Series of Texas Hold’Em Poker Tournaments Announced by Small Town Poker Tour

A series of Texas Hold’Em poker tournaments have been lately announced by Small Town Poker Tour (STPT) – the world’s largest amateur poker tour looking for the best amateur poker players and raising money for local charities. They are going to take place only at Native American casinos – Indian casinos – around the country. The tournament proceeds will benefit the North American Indigenous Games. Co-Founder and Chairman of the Native American Sports Council Gene Keluche admitted that the increasing role of poker made them join forces with the Small Town Poker Tour to raise money for the North American Games. Representatives of SPTP agreed and added that in Canada the games are funded by the government while in the USA they rely only on private forces.

The SPTP besides cash payouts will offer a seat for the WSOP Main Event and travel expenses. The schedule of events is to be arranged within the shortest period of time, that is to say a few weeks, and you will be able to see it at www.smalltownpokertour.com. If you are interested in the forthcoming events, visit your nearby Native American casino and register to become the participant of the event at the STPT web site.

Being recognized by the aboriginal peoples, indigenous peoples across North America and some tribal nations in the USA, the 2006 North American Indigenous Games will be held in July, 2 – 9, 2006 in Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado. Approximately 6,000 to 8,000 sportsmen between the age of 13 -22 will be able to take part in 16 different sports for athletes in NAIG and 40,000 to 50,000 family members and spectators will witness the NAIG competitions within 8 days. For more information about the 2006 NAIG visit www.naig2006.com.

Being a non-profit, community-based multi-sport member of the United States Olympic Committee, the Native American Sports Council (NASC) is the organizer of the 2006 NAIG. The NASC is noticed for having conducted a number of sports and wellness programs in Native American communities throughout the USA, for different programs supporting Olympic hopefuls.
