European Poker Championship to be Launched by Everest Poker

Since the time Everest Poker was introduced to poker players, it has been successfully developing and gaining respect. It is the first who has created a poker room localized in 11 languages with day and night customer support in 15 languages. Increasing popularity of online and live poker and successful partnership of Everest Poker with, e.g. the German Poker Tour 2005 and the French Poker Tour 2005/2006, contributed to the decision making of the team to organize a European championship. As a result, Everest Poker has recently launched a series of free roll live and online poker events called the Everest Poker European Championship (EPEC), that will be held from March to September 2006 in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the countries of Scandinavia. The players of any levels and qualifications will be able to take part in it.
The winner of the Everest Poker European Championship is guaranteed the prize worth 50 000 euros, while the winners of the local free roll events will receive 900 euros. The latter sum includes a 500 euro buy-in and travel expenses to Barcelona 400 euros worth.
The first event within the European championship took place in Germany on the 3rd of March already. To encourage players to participate in the German events, Everest poker has partnered with the only German organization being licensed to organize German poker events – German Poker Players Association.
As the organizers say the tournament will show that poker is accessible for everyone, funny and easy to learn. They are sure that it will demonstrate the increasing popularity of poker and will encourage players’ entrance.
